Photos of Train and Floating Markets near Bangkok on 10/3/13.

Entrance sign to our guesthouse in Bangkok:you actually have to walk down an "alley" and past another guesthouse to get to Khao San Baan Thai, sometimes spelled Khaosan.

The eating come lobby area.

This lady kindly made breakfast every morning for Steven - I stuck to my tea, yogurt, sliced Fuji apples, bread and jam.

How cute, huh!
 Train Market photos below!

See - I was neither kidding nor exaggerating about how close the foodstuffs are to the tracks!

This was at the tail end of the train market, so we walked back to the beginning, all of 10 minutes down the tracks to see the train come.

All these canopies had to be raised as soon as the train's whistle was heard.

First view of the train!  See how very close the produce still is to the tracks!  Wish I had a video to show you but hope the following photos will suffice.

Canopies going down just after the train passes the 1st stalls.

Steven was very relieved that I had not been hit by the train after standing so close to it!

En route to the Floating market by 6 passenger speedboat.

Photos below at the Floating Market, near Bangkok.

Our paddle boat driver.  We sat directly in front of her.
