Almost gone!

Two days to go. Totally forgot to reserve seats on the plane to Iceland. Couldn't get them online this late but Annie called and got us two seats together on the emergency aisle, row 9. Finishing packing and taking care of little details. We're each taking 1 big duffle-roller bag and a day-pack. Right now we have plenty of room in our bags but the day-packs are really full and heavy. For me, the weight is mostly pills and electronics (netbook, kindle, wires and plugs - no phones for us!). I feel like a walking pharmacy. No dinner on the flight (7 1/2 hours plus a 6 hour time change) so hopefully I can squeeze in a few sandwiches. We both got short haircuts today. Annie looks fantastic and about 39 years old -  and I look .......like an old guy with no hair. Go figure. And on top of that, I'm going to wear a fanny pack on the trip. Enough said.

Dad- You're hilarious. Can't wait to read more about your crazy adventure. I'm going to have to hear more about these flights. Glad everything worked out okay!

Love you and miss you already :)

A lexically gifted friend of mine once described the fanny pack as a "scrote tote"! Not very manly but a v. useful pouch (if you will).
